Die Zutaten in einem Topf vermischen und ab und zu umrühren. Innerhalb der nächsten 3 Stunden wird der Zucker den Zwiebeln eine Flüssigkeit entlocken.
Die Mischung nun am besten in einem Kupfertopf 45 Minuten auf mittlerer Hitze köcheln. Ich lasse die Lorbeerblätter einfach drin. Der Zucker karamellisiert nun und anschließend füllen wir die heiße Marmelade in vorher sterilisierten Gläser. Im Kühlschrank halten sie auf jeden Fall ein paar Monate.
